THE MUSIC OF ITALIAN COMPOSERS
CAPRICCIO ITALIANO is a concert series fully dedicated to great Italian composers. Festival performers are skilful instrumentalists who are committed to the research and promotion of a typically Italian instrumental and vocal repertoire. The different chamber music ensembles will lead you through an evocative 500-year-long journey brimming with extraordinary music. Performances will include masterpieces, as well as stunning unpublished works.

The splendid and well-known compositions for violin and piano by the great authors of Italian music from the 1700s to the early 20th centuries, which highlight the virtuosity of the instrument, the Prince of strings, and the spontaneous and exuberant singing typical of Italian music of the era.

Musiche di F. Carulli, G. Rossini, M. Castelnuovo Tedesco, Giuseppe Verdi (1813/1901), Domenico Scarlatti (1685/1757), Niccolò Paganini (1782/1840), Mauro Giuliani (1781/1829): Gioacchino Rossini (1792/1868)
Il progetto nasce con l'obiettivo di far convivere all'interno di un'esibizione musicale alcuni tra i più importanti temi della tradizione operistica italiana (Giuseppe Verdi e Gioacchino Rossini), tradotti egregiamente sulla chitarra da J. Arcas e M. Giuliani, contratti di virtuosismo e romanticismo, (tipici e sempre presenti nella musica di Niccolò Paganini e Giulio Regondi).
The project was born with the aim of bringing together some of the most important themes of the Italian operatic tradition (Giuseppe Verdi and Gioacchino Rossini) within a musical performance, excellently translated onto the guitar by J. Arcas and M. Giuliani, contracts of virtuosity and romanticism, (typical and always present in the music of Niccolò Paganini and Giulio Regondi).

La sinergia musicale del Duo Dàimon trova la sua realizzazione nella scelta del repertorio, incline alla musica del '900, del quale esplora anche brani meno noti, operando una ricerca sulle peculiarità stilistiche nazionali e sull'uso delle forme classiche nel linguaggio moderno. Il nome del duo fa riferimento al concetto della mitologia greca del dàimon, un essere a metà strada tra l'umano e il divino che si manifesta attraverso una voce interiore che ci guida verso la realizzazione più autentica del nostro io. Una sorta di essenza, di vocazione dell'anima, un'immagine primaria che pulsa nell'essere umano richiamandolo ai suoi talenti e alla sua chiamata interiore.
The musical synergy of the Dàimon Duo finds its realization in the choice of the repertoire, inclined towards the music of the 20th century, of which it also explores lesser-known pieces, carrying out research on national stylistic peculiarities and the use of classical forms in modern language. The name of the duo refers to the concept of the Greek mythology of the daimon, a being halfway between the human and the divine who manifests himself through an inner voice that guides us towards the most authentic realization of our self. A sort of essence, of vocation of the soul, a primary image that pulsates in the human being, recalling him to his talents and his inner calling.
